For the prefect night out
You wanna know the best 5 places to drink in Copenhagen? You’re in luck, Copenhagen bar scene is very diverse and you will find complementary to your taste for sure!
End your day in Copenhagen with a “walk on the wild side”. Copenhagen night life is very vibrant and offers a variety of possibilities: beer bars, cocktail bars, wine bars, all near the city center, perfect for a pub-crawl evening of fun!
Here is the list of my top 5 favorite bars in Copenhagen!
Balderdash bar is located in one of the oldest parts of Copenhagen, in a house constructed in 1732! The house itself is worth a visit, as it is one of the oldest houses still standing after the last fire from 1728!
The bar has a distinct character and the concept… well its concept is that it has NO concept :). The main bar is upstairs and has a mixed selection of signature cocktails. The bar menu is in the 1920 style, with lavish young ladies. The owner experiments a lot with new cocktails, but also with new tastes and fragrances. Downstairs, through an old “secret door”, you can find a laboratory, kind of like an old alchemist laboratory, where he stores all his new fragrances, the ones that succeeded and the ones that didn’t.
I highly recommend this bar, as the experience was unique and the cocktails delicious, like nothing you’ve tasted before!

Kulturtårnet Knippelsbro is a bridge tower on turned into bar. It’s a hidden gem of Copenhagen bar scene, hidden in plain sight. I wouldn’t have thought about going inside, if the suggestion didn’t come from a local.
The bar is located in the old copper tower on the bridge Knippelsbro. You climb the spiral stairs up in the tower, where a magnetic view of the city and of the canal awaits you. There you can enjoy a nice selection of craft beers, the nectar of the gods!

If you enjoy the show “Mad men” then this is your go-to bar in Copenhagen.
A classy bar, set in an atmosphere of an American style speakeasy, it offers a variety of cocktails, some even award winning!
Later in the evening some of the book shells open, to give price a dance floor and additional bars. Close to midnight the bar becomes really busy, as it transforms to one of the more cooler and popular night clubs in Copenhagen.
Thu – Fri: 8:00 pm – 5:00 am
Fri – Sat: 8:00 pm – 5:00 am
Sat – Sun: 8:00 pm – 5:00 am
The bar is located in a courtyard just off Copenhagen’s famous Vesterbrogade and is not the most easiest to find. However the setting is amazing: the bar is situated in a 3 story building, in an old pharmacist house, built in 1886! I love this old houses bar, its gives them definitely a different flavor!
The cocktail bar is on the ground floor and it has a cozier atmosphere, with a large bar, a stage for live piano and jazz music and a fire place. Upstairs you can find the whiskey bar, serving a variety of the finest selection of single and blended malts from around the world.
Mon: 20:00 – 2:00
Tue – Sat: 16:00 – 2:00
Sun: 18:00 – 2:00
The bar is located in a former factory, with large oak barrels, fermentation tanks and state-of-the-art brewing facilities. The bar experiments often with new beer flavors and soft drinks, to surprise the beer lovers! It has over 30 craft beers and hip cocktails (Mikropolis Cocktails ), so there is everything for everyone!
If you want a bite to eat, the facility also has a restaurant operated by one of the youngest Michellin chefs in Denmark – Christian Gadient.
